The project was developed via the following stages:
Estimation of wind and solar resources via creation of a preliminary wind and solar map. Identification and selection of potential sites for the measurement towers. The towers were then installed and measurements were taken. The wind and solar map was adjusted to correspond with the new data. Finally, a pre-design period was applied to design potential wind parks and their locations.
Five meteorological stations were erected in selected areas of Barreal and Tocota (in the department, i.e. county, of Calingasta. These stations have a height of 80 meters and each one was constructed in line with international standards in order for the data received to be highly trustworthy for future projects using it.
